The American Foudnation for AIDS Research (amfAR) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of HIV/AIDS research, AIDS prevention, treatment education, and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy. Funded by voluntary contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations, amfAR has invested over $233 million in support of its mission since 1985 and funded grants to more than 2,000 research teams worldwide.
amfAR does not accept unsolicited proposals. Investigators submit a letter of intent in response to a specific RFP and only the most highly rated LOIs will be able to submit a full grant proposal.
